Hope on the Horizon

When we started researching and writing about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia in general we became quickly discouraged. Many people and organizations were spending a lot of time and money looking for a cure; for Alzheimer’s disease and many other causes of dementia. That was 2006 or 2007. Unfortunately, none of these researchers seemed to us to making much headway.

In retrospect our assessment was accurate. Thirteen years later, at the time of this writing, it seems we are no closer to a cure. On the other hand, researchers all over the world are looking at and for new avenues of research. Some of them are reporting some very promising findings. This blog section is a periodic summary of the research we feel is the most exciting.
