Description:
The bergamot is a delicate citrus tree that was named after the town of Bergamo in Italy. The essential oil comes from the rind of the small, round fruit and is the familiar flavoring used in Earl Grey tea. It blends well with lavender, neroli, jasmine, cypress, geranim, lemon, orange, and chamomile. Bergamot is a premier oil for psychological benefits.
Physical:
Cools fevers. Treats colds and flu. Enhances the immune system. Relaxes. Used as a natural deodorant.
Psychological:
Mood elevating, calming, and balancing. Relieves stress, anxiety, and mild depression. Refreshes. Relieves insomnia.

Skin care:
Bergamot has many uses for skin care but because it causes photo-sensitization it cannot be worn in the sun. It is useful for cold sores, oily skin, small wounds, psoriasis and eczema.
