Description
Twiddle Pup
Professional caregivers rave about the effectiveness of all of the Twiddle®Muffs, including this adorable Twiddle Pup. It has long been known that having something to hold and manipulate, something to “twiddle” or fidget with, can have a calming effect on people who suffer from dementia. The textures, the gadgets, the warm coziness of the Twiddles® are all there for just that. The focus and the stimulation they provide truly adds to the quality of life of the individual.
The Twiddle® gadgets are detachable allowing the Muff to be machine cleaned. Muffs have been put through many machine washing cycles, and still look and feel and work like new!
According to Corie Larocque, Alzheimer’s coordinator for Brighton Gardens in Wheaton, IL, “(The Twiddle®Muffs) immediately help calm the resident, directing their focus and energy on one thing. In my experience, the muff does reduce the need for meds.”

Excellent
I didn’t think my mother would even pay attention to the Twiddle Pup but she seems fascinated by it. She didn’t want it at first but kept going back to it. Now when she sees it she asks for it.

Twiddle Pup, very nice but..
My Dad loves his Twiddle Pup..he carries it around a lot. The only negative, to me, is that he hasn’t even had it a month and he ripped the ball out from inside the muff 🙁

Mother spends a lot of time with the Pup.
It gives her something to do with her hands.

“Ahhh”” Mom sighed as she saw the puppy”
“Ahhh”” Mom sighed when she opened this gift and saw the puppy. She isn’t quite sure what to make of the attachments, but she will occasionally carry it around or keep it near her sunroom rocker. The squeeze ball inside always surprises her. She seem to enjoy just having it sit on a table since she’s always loved dogs and likes stuffed toys.”

Perfect
Mama loves her new “puppy””. She named it Poo-Bah…I have no idea where that came from! The very best part, was that she actually tied a perfect bow with the ribbons. She tied the little baggie of homemade cookies that we had also given her, to the puppy, using the ribbons. I took a great photograph of this event! The staff was amazed, and told me that now they have an idea what to suggest to other residents’ loved ones, for gifts. My Aunt’s son is also very interested in the puppy, as she too has alzheimer’s. I have given your web site to them. I plan to revisit it as well, to find even more items for Mama and for the “”memory care community”” where she now lives. I’m so glad I put “”gifts for alzheimer’s: in the search engine!”

Another Christmas gift hit
I trusted all the reviews I read about this product and was not disappointed. As my 95 year old Mom was opening this gift I told her it was like the “muffs”” we had back in the Midwest to keep our hands warm so she immediately grasped the idea of putting her hands in it…..then I told her there was a nifty massage ball inside so she knew to expect it. The pup was VERY soft and invites cuddling….I packed up all her other gifts to take home but this one she carried herself. This is the first time I have ordered from this site…..it was the first time I was looking for gifts for a loved one whose memory is not what it once was. I admit ordering was like a leap of faith because this is a lady that stylish clothes and jewelry had always been the order of the day but I felt this year needed something more capacity appropriate. Your advice, explanations and the comments of others helped me make purchasing decisions out of my historic comfort range and the result could not have been better.”

I love your company and your products!
The service was swift and your staff goes above and beyond.
The Twiddle Pup has already brought my Mom comfort and companionship. It keeps her hands busy and she looks for it when it’s been put aside for whatever reason. I have told many of my friends and families that I’ve met through the journey with my Mom about the product and the other varieties that it comes it. I have nothing but good things to say about this purchase!!

It started out great!
My mother is in last stage Alzheimer’s. She was plucking the buttons off of her pajamas, so I suggested this twiddle pup to keep her hands busy. Her caregiver said she enjoyed it and was playing with it constantly. I would have given it five stars for cuteness and actual enjoyment- BUT!!!! Somehow she got the ball free that is inside, and was attempting to EAT IT. Now I’m worried about the marbles, as well. Perhaps this is fine for a mid stage person, but not late stage. If someone can’t distinguish between food and a ball, this is not for them. Sad this didn’t work out.
